Korean-American medical student
About
Hi there! I’m a graduate of Stanford University and now a third-year medical student at Baylor College of Medicine.
First and foremost: I’m probably the bluntest person you will ever meet. Seriously. I can’t help it. Rest assured that when I say something, it’s exactly what’s on my mind, although I generally try to spin my thoughts with some humor so as to avoid offending people. This is definitely a two-way street: as I am blunt with others, so I expect them to be blunt with me!
On the flipside, I’m a bit eccentric, very random, and rather whimsical. I have a penchant for adorable things, and the majority of my wardrobe consists of t-shirts with cute drawings from shirt.woot.com. I also keep my collection of stuffed animals on my mantle (I still have my teddy bear from 1st grade–don’t judge). I love exercising and when I’m bored a gym or running trail are both good bets for places to find me. I nearly got kicked out of a blood bank because I was faking a British accent that day and they thought I might have mad cow disease. I’ve dabbled in tae kwon do, karate, wushu, and aikido. I used to be in a traveling choir, played French Horn for a few years, and upon coming to med school decided I’d pick up piano after a 12-year hiatus. I’ve meditated with the Dalai Lama, learned to shoot bow-and-arrow, bartended, and cut my own hair.
I’m a huge fan of gadgets, start-ups, and the web in general. Unfortunately, the time I dedicate to this sort of thing is rather strained by all the studying I have to do, so I’m kind of stuck there, but eh, I figure things will get a bit better once I start clinics graduate. We’ll see!
Feel free to browse around, and contact me for whatever reason you please, I’m extremely open to meeting new people!
